What is an Endodontist?
Your dentist has
referred you to an endodontist. Endodontists are dentists who
limit their practice to root canal treatment and other procedures
involving the tooth pulp - the internal soft tissue of the tooth.
Endodontists have at least two years post-graduate training after
dental school.
Dr. Scott is
very experienced in treating complicated endodontic cases and
specializes in diagnosing and treating oral pain, traumatic injuries
to teeth and performing both non-surgical and surgical endodontic
procedures, always utilizing microscopic endodontics. Dr. Scott
will perform a thorough evaluation before treating your tooth.
By referring you
to an endodontic specialist, your dentist is demonstrating a personal
concern for the quality of your dental care.

What is Endodontic Treatment?
In most cases,
treatment saves teeth which otherwise would have to be extracted.
Endodontics, or root canal therapy, consists of cleansing,
disinfecting and filling the root canal(s) of the diseased tooth.
Dr. Scott utilizes state of the art microscopes for every procedure
and, in most cases, completes root canal therapy in one appointment.
